2011 NY Surf Film Festival Submissions Now Open through May 15th
After another successful year at the famous Tribeca Cinemas, the annual New York Surf Film Festival has officially opened 2011 submissions for its fourth installment in Manhattan. The New York Surf Film Festival is the premiere three day event celebrating surf films with screenings of independent short and feature films, cult classics, and world premieres from established and emerging surf filmmakers.
Both New Yorkers and the international audience can expect a packed program filled with film, art, and music slated for the September 2011 event.
The New York Surf Film Competition is open to feature-length and short films in the surf genre. In order to be considered for the Festival’s Film Competition, submitted films must have been completed after July 2006. The running time for features must be greater than 30 minutes. Short films under 30 minutes in length are eligible for participation in the Short Film Program.
Submissions are open thru May 15th, 2011.
