The official rider’s registration and opening party takes place tonight from 6pm to 9pm at Second Wind kitesurf shop in Kahului. Tomorrow marks the first possible competition day, kicking off at 9am with a traditional Hawaiian ceremony and a very special visit from Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa at Ho’okipa Beach Park. All watermen and women on Maui are invited to join this very special celebration.

The KSP world title race remains too close to call heading into the final event at Ho’okipa Beach, Maui. Hometown favorite and current men’s points leader Patri Mclaughlin (HI, North) aims to snatch his first ever world title at home on Maui with Airton Cozzolino (ITA, North) and Sebeastian Ribeiro (BRA) within very close striking distance. The female race also remains incredibly tight between front-runner Jalou Langeree (NED, Naish), Ninja Bichler (GER, North) and Ines Correia (POR, RRD).
