Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) finished last season as the vice-world champion after recording 3 second places and one victory – Sylt – in a very impressive year as she continues to up the ante in her pursuit for a maiden wave world title. With the start of the wave season now just a few weeks away the 15-time world champion is starting to look forward to the start of the Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival, which begins on the 12th July and runs until the 20th.

Sarah-Quita Offringa: “Going through all this footage reminded me that last year was nothing less than epic. The level on the water was high and there was such a good and supportive vibe amongst all the ladies competing. I feel extremely happy to be sharing sessions with these power women. This year I want to do well, but more than that, quoting Steffi [Wahl], I’m just here for the love of windsurfing. Watching this footage I see the progress I’ve made in wave sailing and I’m really excited to see to which heights I can go this year!”
