Pringles Kitesurf World Cup Fehmarn – Final Day

After a long day of waiting for the wind to arrive, it finally kicked in at the late hour of 3pm, just as the riders and crew had almost given up hope. The rush commenced to get prepared and try to complete as much of the Freestyle Main Event as possible. Men’s Round 1, Heat 4, which had been cancelled the previous day, was the first to be completed. The men had three trick attempts left, and it was Carlos Mario, who blasted his way through the heat taking first place, followed by French rider Val Garat, and Dominican rider Joselito del Rosario, all three of them gaining a place in Round 2. Heat 5 was intense, with so many top riders battling against each other, but it was Alex Pastor who put on the most solid display of riding and won the heat, followed closely by Liam Whaley and Youri Zoon. Unfortunately the Men’s main event was not completed as the wind dropped just at the start of Heat 6. This means that there was no Men’s result for this event in Fehmarn, Germany.
