On February 21, the weather in Knokke-Heist, in West Flanders, Belgium, delivered strong winds to start the Red Bull Gone With the Wind. 20 professional kitesurfers braved the wind and crashing waves on the first edition of this unique event. Red Bull Gone With The Wind has a simple premise: who runs the fastest against the wind & who has the most airtime with the wind. The winner was Belgian champion Axel Tack with an airtime of 3 minutes 25 seconds, followed by Michel Bonné (2 min 36 sec) and Loyd Noyette (2 min 28 sec).
