The second stop of the NeilPryde Racing Series Tour will take place in Dunkerque, France today (June 13th 2011).

The NeilPryde Racing Series is a tour featuring the 2016 NeilPryde Olympic equipment (RS:X Evolution) and the new, universal one-design class, the RS:One. The Tour started last January in Singapore with an attractive and dynamic race format right in the city center. Due to this unusual location, action happens close to the spectators and the media providing an easy-to-understand and attractive show.

Dunkerque has been chosen for its dynamic sport program policy which has placed the town in the position to be seriously considered as the 2012 Olympic training location. The French Sailing Federation (FFV) is also strongly supporting this event and will send the French Windsurfing Team to compete during this stop of the tour.

Top 10 world RS:X athletes, including an Olympic medalist and local windsurfing heroes, will race in Dunkerque city center’s Nautical Stadium. The winner of each division will share the €4,000 prize money and will qualify for the 2011 World Final in Melbourne, Australia.
