Slingshot Sports announced that Mauricio Abreu is leaving Slingshot to pursue opportunities outside the sport of kiteboarding.

“Mauricio has been an in integral part of our company for the last four years. He has helped us establish one the most respected teams in the sport as both a rider and Team Manager. Mauricio’s history in kiteboarding is as old as the sport itself. He’s a Godfather, a pioneer, and his influence in our sport has left its mark. Slingshot is proud of the legacy he leaves and we wish “good winds” for him and his family as they embark on this new era.”
