Julien Kerneur (FRA, Takoon) and Katja Roose (NED, Airush) managed to secure the 2011 European Racing Titles after five races in extremely light conditions.

The Masters division was won by Tomek Janiak (POL, RRD), the Production division by Olivier Dansin (FRA, North).

After three races held on day 1 the wind disappeared completely for day 2 and 3 of the championships, and despite long standby periods until the late evenings there was no chance to get more racing underway.

When it came down to the final day of the competition the forecast was not looking better at all, but still the race committee called for an early skippers meeting at 0800. At 0930 there was some wind far outside in the Gdansk bay, 6-8 knots side-offshore. A course was set and the riders given some more time than the usual 30 minutes to go out to the starting area. Not all riders succeeded though, but it was amazing to see how the best European riders managed to sail out in glassy waters.

Two races were run before the wind completely dropped, both won by Julien Kerneur who secured his first European Title. With two bullets, two second places and a discarded place 4 Olivier Dansin was only shortly behind and it was open until the last race who will take the title.
