Tramontana und Défi Wind passen einfach zusammen – in diesem Jahr vielleicht sogar zu gut denn am ersten Tag konnten bei über 50 Knoten Wind nur 377 der 1200 Starter das Rennen beenden. Pierre Mortefon kämpfte am Besten und siegte vor Nicolas Warembourg und Diony Guadagnino. Gestern bließ der Tramontana am Morgen mit über 60 Knoten sodass sich Rennleiter Philippe Bru dazu entschloss ersteinmal kein weiteres Rennen zu starten, zu gefährlich waren die Bedingungen selbst für die Besten der Besten. Im Laufe des Nachmittags nahm der Wind dann auf immer noch stürmische 40 Knoten ab und mit verkürztem Kurs ging es in das zweite Rennen, welches Pierre Mortefon erneut für sich entscheiden konnte. Antoine Questel wurde Zweiter und Nicolas Warembourg lag auf Rang 3.
Im Overall Ranking liegt damit Pierre Mortefon vor Nicolas Warembourg und Antoine Questel. Antoine Albeau und Cyril Moussilmani folgen auf Platz 4 und 5. Andy Laufer ist als erster Deutscher auf Platz 22 zu finden. Direkt hinter ihm Denis Standhardt, der im letzten Jahr den undankbaren 4. Platz in der Gesamtwertung einfahren konnte. Tramontana and Défi Wind matchin perfectly – this year probably even a little bit too good as the first day saw over 50 knots of wind and only 377 out of 1200 competitors were able to finish race 1. Pierre Mortefon claimed the victory of the first day in front of Nicolas Warembourg and Diony Guadagnino. Yesterday the Tramontana kicked in the next gear and with over 60 knots of wind the headjudge Philippe Bru decided to postpone race 2 until the wind dropped. This happened in the afternoon and in stormy 40 knots it was again Pierre Mortefon in front of Antoine Questel and Nicolas Warembourg who finished 3rd respectively.
