Take a look at the final round recap and check the winners of this year’s Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational. Competition started off with perfect South West wind in the REAL Slick. On day two the wind went North and the world class Water Patrol at REAL Watersports moved the sliders into the perfect position for the changing conditions. Finals day showed up after a lay day with another round of classic South West conditions. The competition was tight and in the end technical slider riding and mega kicker hits took top scores. 2018 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational Champions | Final Results
The 2018 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational came to an end. Brandon Scheid and Karolina Winkowska ended up in first place in Cape Hatteras. Watch the video highlight of the last day of competition! The 2018 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational was bigger and better than ever, with more riders, bigger bands and bigger parties. Thirty-four of the worlds best wakestyle kiteboarders battled it out for their share of the $50,000 prize purse and claim to everlasting fame on the Wind Voyager Triple-S perpetual trophy. The competition ran on the Wind Voyager Super Kicker, Liquid Force Kites Reverse Rainbow, KOA Resorts Kicker, ION Rooftop, and John Wayne Mega Slider from June 2nd – 8th 2018. After months of pumping southwest, the winds shifted directions and made for challenging competition conditions but the world-class Water Patrol at REAL Watersports had no problem changing features as needed to make the most of each day. Watch the world’s best park riders in action on and off the water in Cape Hatteras, at last year Triple-S event. Every June a core group of the worlds best park riders return to The Slick at Real Watersports for the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational. With $50,000 on the line, the competition is fierce, pushing the boundaries of what is possible behind a kite. 2017 brought fresh faces and never before seen tricks in what shaped up to be the best Triple-S yet. With a huge musical lineup, the action was non-stop on and off the water. Wind Voyager had the opportunity to film the athletes both in and out of the park at iconic kite spots like the Rodanthe Pier, Buxton Slicks and more. With a full tilt production crew and the willingness of the riders to showcase their free ride skills, we were able to capture the beauty of Cape Hatteras as well as some unique angles in kiteboarding. Wind Voyager and REAL Watersports are proud to present the 2018 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational Invited Riders List. The top 16 from 2017 are back and we have invited Will Palmer, Christophe Tack, Jake Kelsick and Jesse Richman to the 2018 Men’s Division. The top 4 of the 2017 Women’s field are automatically invited, Julia Castro and Bruna Kajiya are both invited as well. The alternates are listed in case an invited rider cannot compete, alternate riders are also encouraged to participate in the Wildcard and Open competitions to secure their spot in the 2018 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational If you didn’t make this list, Wildcard Videos are due by 4/18, with the winners chosen 4/20. The Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational took place June 3rd-9th on Cape Hatteras, in the REAL Slick. 30 riders from 15 different countries traveled to North Carolina to test and show their skills at the famous kite park.
