Der Windgott war in diesem Jahr in Podersdorf nicht auf der Seite der PWA Worldtour. Auch am letzten Tag gab es keine Chance die Single Elimination abzuschließen und so gab es in diesem Jahr lediglich 4 Freestyle Heats zu sehen. Besser lief es da bei der European Tow-In Championship powered by Chiemsee – hier braucht es ja auch keinen Wind.

Im großen Finale siegte gestern Kiri Thode mit einem unglaublichen Double Culo und viele fragen sich noch heute wie dies ohne Wind überhaupt möglich ist. Tonky Frans freut sich über Rang 2 und Adam Sims schafft mit einem Double Spock sein erstes internationales Podium. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

With a light offshore breeze blowing on the final morning of the Podersdorf PWA Surf World Cup attention soon turned towards the Chiemsee Tow-in Final, as it quickly became evident that it would not be possible to complete the single elimination.

Kiri Thode (Starboard / GA Sails) stole the show – and the title – with his first run as the Bonairean landed an exquisite double culo to earn 53 points out of a possible 60. Meanwhile, second place went to Tonky Frans (Tabou / GA Sails), after he exploded through a massive burner 360, whilst the podium was completed by Adam Sims (Patrik / Sailloft Hamburg), who showed plenty of creativity to land a perfect double spock.
